CHOKE CABLE

A choke cable is a flexible cable used in internal combustion engine vehicles to regulate the air-fuel mixture during cold starting. It allows the driver to manually operate the choke from the vehicle's interior by pulling or pushing the cable. The cable connects a lever on the dashboard to the choke on the carburetor or throttle body. Using the choke adds extra fuel to the air, helping cold engines start smoothly. Choke cables are essential in older vehicles without electronic fuel injection systems.
